All new clients, and clients whose last service was greater than one year ago, require a New Client Consultation. Because we book by appointment and recognize the uniqueness of each client, accurate scheduling cannot occur without an in-person consultation. Please arrive with hair in its natural state, free from extensions and heat straightening.

Clients may schedule an appointment via our online booking platform (http://vagaro.com/thewayoflife) or by calling the salon directly. Please read online booking guidelines carefully prior to scheduling online. First time clients must first schedule a New Client Consultation before booking a service. 

Please be courteous and utilize headphones/ear buds while enjoying your mobile devices.

The salon is reserved for scheduled clients only. Our space is cozy, so please refrain from bringing accompanying guests, including children, to appointments. Clients under the age of 18, who are being serviced, may be accompanied by one adult.

Services are paid via debit/credit card or Zelle. 

A $15+ late fee will be assessed to clients more than 15 minutes late, provided there is enough time to complete the scheduled service. This amount increases by 15 minute increments. In the event that said service cannot be completed, it will be treated as a missed appointment, requiring 100% compensation prior to rescheduling. Likewise, in the event that your beauty professional is more than 15 minutes tardy beginning your service, a $15 credit is awarded upon check-out.

48 hours is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment without penalty. A $25 fee is assessed to appointments rescheduled or canceled with less than 48 hours notice. Appointments rescheduled or canceled with less than 24 hours notice must be compensated for the entire cost of service. No shows are treated as missed appointments, and are also assessed the total cost of service. Likewise, barring an emergency, this courtesy is also extended to clients in the event of an untimely cancellation by one of our beauty professionals.

A twenty-five percent deposit is required for all new client services as well as services totaling $300+. There is a one-time deposit transfer courtesy, after which forfeiture is warranted. Rescheduled/canceled appointments are subject to the aforementioned fees.

Please prepare for your service by removing and detangling any previous styles. Failure to do so will result in a “take-down” fee, time permitting, or an inevitable and untimely cancellation, time not permitting. Aforementioned fees will apply.

Food and beverages are allowed; however, please refrain from consuming any food with pungent/unpleasant odors (i.e. eggs, seafood, etc.).

All photo and video footage of clients is the property of The Way of Life and will be used at the salon’s discretion for professional purposes only (media, website, etc.). Clients may opt out of his/her likeness being used prior to recording content, by sending an email to findyourway@thewayoflifesalon.com.
